Queen Elizabeth Park

The off-leash area at Queen Elizabeth park is a beautiful but barebones off-leash area; there are no benches or fountains. If you come at the right time it can be dog play-time heaven. It's the ideal park for fetching as it's nice and open.

Getting to the park is fairly simple. Access to the park is on 37th Ave, around Columbia St. You can street park on 37th Ave or turn into the parking lot. The lot will be on your left if you're coming west from Cambie. Coming east from Main St., it will be on your right.

The Park

The off-leash area is pretty straightforward. It is the area bordering from the driveway up to the parking lot, until the tennis courts. It's a great area for your dog to find playmates.

Tips

  • There are no drinking water amenities on the dog park but a 2-3 minute walk into the park will lead you to a drinking fountain, just beside the pitch and putt stand
  • The grass can get muddy and slippery during non-summer seasons
  • The play area is quite close to the parking lot and there is no barrier; take caution if your dog has a tendency to run off and/or doesn't have a good recall

This park is ok. Sometimes I think I am brought there so that moms can catch pokemon. One time I ran into parking lot and mom got mad.
